East Bay Center for the Performing Arts
Richmond, California
This extensive project for the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts in Richmond, California required complete gutting of the original ballroom structure while keeping the façade and perimeter concrete walls intact. New steel framing and concrete floors and walls, along with steel braced frames and a new drilled concrete pier foundation system, provide a revitalized facility with two dynamic theater spaces, practice rooms and other much needed resources for use by the local community, while also resulting in a much safer structure.
