CFSCC | Santa Cruz, California

The Community Foundation for Santa Cruz County is a new three-structure complex consisting of two cast-in-place concrete buildings connected by a steel and concrete pedestrian bridge. The detailing of the exposed structural concrete was carefully integrated into the architectural design, and site mock-ups were required to ensure aesthetic and structural standards were met. Cast concrete structures are among the strongest and most durable building types; they also lend a sense of permanence to the uses they enclose.
